Dogs are our best friends, and teach us the power and joy of unconditional love.

This sculpture "Best Friend" is based on my dog Barney.  He is a Golden Retriever/ Chow mix- a big guy at 90 lbs. He is a noble, happy, brave companion.

 It is made of cold-cast bronze- a high quality resin with powdered bronze and is about 5.5 inches tall.

High in the Northern Hemisphere, in a place of vast and frozen beauty, lives a mystical creature so powerful that it is regarded as a sacred supernatural being to the Eskimo people of the North. As Global Warming becomes more severe, the habitat of the polar bear is threatened. In this crucial time of earth changes, we need to do what we can to help to conserve this exquisite animal and its habitat.

The Ancient Greeks and Romans believed the seahorse was an attribute of the sea god Neptune and was seen as a symbol of strength and power.
Europeans believed the seahorse carried the souls of deceased sailors to the underworld - giving them safe passage and protection until the met their soul’s destination.
Chinese cultures believed that the seahorse was a type of sea dragon, and as such they were revered for their power and thought to be symbols of good luck.
Sailors have long viewed the seahorse as a good luck charm too.

Chinese dragons are regarded as divine mythical creatures that bring abundance, prosperity and good luck and its benevolence is known to augur goodness, greatness and plentiful blessings.

Life of an Earth Being- Throughout the ages, turtles have special meaning for humans. Ancient myths from different cultures describe the world resting on the turtle’s back. Among Far Eastern cultures it was believed that the turtle’s back symbolized Heaven and that its underside represented Earth. For them the turtle signified the possibility of uniting Heaven and Earth within one’s own life.
